Before I built an online business, I was living what most people would call a “successful” life.

I spent over a decade in a corporate 9–5 fashion career. On paper, I had the dream job, great salary, and fancy title.

But inside? I was anxious, burnt out, and wondering if this was really it?

I knew I wanted more freedom - more control over my time, energy, and lifestyle - but I had no idea what that actually looked like or how to get there.

I didn't start with a perfectly planned business idea.

I was kind of forced into starting an online business after finding myself jobless during the 2020 pandemic. I used the skills I already had, figured things out as I went, and learnt by making a lot of mistakes.

Over the years, my business evolved in so many ways. Name an online business model and I’ve probably tried it.

There were many wins… and lots of lessons.

One of the biggest? I burned out more times than I like to admit because I built a business with no boundaries that became a glorified job.

That's how I realised what actually matters when you’re starting a business:
Strong foundations.
